JILL HAMPTON
Jill is a member of the Florida Bar and is admitted to practice before all federal, state
(circuit), and county courts within the State of Florida.
Jill earned her B.A. from Flagler College with honors in 1994. After graduating
from college, she worked as a Legal Assistant for several law firms in Orlando,
where she gained valuable hands-on experience in a variety of civil litigation and
real estate matters.
She obtained her law degree from Florida State University in 2002. While in law
school, Jill interned at the State of Florida Attorney General’s Office, Employment
Litigation Division; the Florida Department of Business and Professional
Regulation, Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco; the Second Judicial
Circuit Court (Leon County) in Tallahassee; and a private law firm in
Tallahassee which practices employment litigation, insurance defense, and
workers' compensation.
After graduation from law school, Jill served as an Assistant Public Defender in
Orange County Florida, where she gained valuable courtroom and jury trial
experience. Prior to joining PRIVATE COUNSEL LLC, Jill was an associate at
an Orlando law firm where she practiced civil litigation
Jill is a member of the Florida Bar, the Central Florida Criminal Defense Lawyers
Association, and serves on the Florida Bar Traffic Court Rules Committee.

SHON DOUCTRE
Shon Douctre is the founder and managing partner of Private Counsel, LLC, a
private law firm with a section dedicated to DUI and DRUG defenses.
Prior to entering private practice, he worked as an attorney in the capacity of an
Assistant Public Defender for Orange County, Florida. He has represented
many great people on a range of criminal charges, and focuses most of his
practice now on client charged with criminal traffic offenses.
Well before deciding to become a lawyer, he joined the United States Navy. He
served his country proudly from 1987-1991, and received an honorable
discharge after Desert Storm. He received the National Defense Medal for his
contribution in that conflict.
Shon attended Pennsylvania State University and received his undergraduate
degree in 1995. Shon graduated cum laude from Barry University School of
Law. While at Penn State, he earned Dean's List seven times. In 1994 and
1995, he was inducted in the Kappa Tau Alpha and Golden Key National Honor
Societies.
While in law school, he worked for several private law firms in a variety of legal
capacities.
Shon's practice areas include criminal defense, DUI defense, juvenile defense,
traffic charges, traffic tickets, drug charges, domestic violence, violations of
probation and community control, and sealing and expungement of criminal
charges and criminal history.
He is a member of the American Bar Association and of the Central Florida
Criminal Defense Lawyer's Association. Additionally, he belongs to the United
States Middle District of Florida Bar. He joined the Florida Bar in September
2002.
